This chapter draws from the journal Margot Badran kept during the Egyptian Revolution of 2011. It focuses on three major demonstrations in Tahrir Square, in which she participated in the first year of the revolution, with reflections on the fourth anniversary of the revolution on January 25 and the tragic murder of a woman human rights activist the day before. The chapter also compares the 1919 Revolution, the 1952 Revolution, and the 2011 Revolution.
