This chapter examines Tea Party women’s attitudes about the size and scope of government and why such programs are bad for women. This chapter also considers whether Tea Party women in the mass public share such views with Tea Party women leaders and compare their attitudes with other American women. While Tea Party women nationally are very conservative, they disagree with movement leaders about paid leave.
