In this chapter, the author summarizes the main points, arguments, and theoretical claims made in the book. The author also identifies questions left unanswered and avenues for further theorizing and empirical research on polyamory and mononormativity. Finally, the author concludes by suggesting that, within the fields of sociology, queer theory, feminist theory, and critical race theory, work on mononormativity, polyamory and polyqueer sexualities is both timely and necessary.
