New NYU books now online

January 18, 2018

Over ten new books are now available on NYU Scholarship Online (NYSO), adding to the Law, Political Science, Religion, Society and Culture, and Sociology modules.

These books cover a diverse range of subjects, from a fresh perspective on the familiar subject of civil litigation to challenging the idea that efforts to include more women in government successfully promote gender equality, and from the new paradigm of ethnicity and religion that shapes contemporary immigrant religious institutions and the intergenerational transmission of religion to shedding new light on the work lives of Latina teachers who service two underperforming multiracial schools in metropolitan Los Angeles.

Civil Justice Reconsidered: Toward a Less Costly, More Accessible Litigation System        No Shortcut to Change: An Unlikely Path to a More Gender Equitable World        Ethnic Church Meets Megachurch: Indian American Christianity in Motion        Black Performance on the Outskirts of the Left: A History of the Impossible        Latina Teachers: Creating Careers and Guarding Culture
